New WWIRC Brief: Statewide Funding Landscape Analysis Brief
Over the past year, WWIRC has been listening to partners across Colorado and researching sustainable funding barriers to scaling wildfire risk reduction and watershed resilience. Our newest brief, the Statewide Funding Landscape Analysis explores how Colorado can meet the estimated $200 million annual investment needed to treat the state's highest-priority forests and watersheds. The brief examines current public and private funding sources, identifies opportunities to expand investment, and outlines a diversified funding pathway that leverages state, federal, local, utility, philanthropic, and private-sector resources alongside a stronger forest restoration economy. This document represents WWIRC's ongoing work to advance practical, long-term funding solutions, with future white papers on funding and metrics to be released in the coming months.
